Freshness

Low — this is warm
Loud at the start, comforting for the rest. The first ten minutes are the boldest part — candied apple and cinnamon, unapologetically sweet. By the first hour orange blossom has softened it, and from hour two onward you're in the vanilla-tonka-amber drydown where this genre earns its reputation. Two sprays is the right number. Three is a lot. Four is a decision your colleagues will have opinions about.
✦ Built For Real Nights & Real Weather
Made for cold air — sweet ambers bloom in autumn and winter, and that is when this is at its best.
Concentrated, so use less — at 20%, two sprays does what four does from a weaker formula.
Honest about summer — heavy vanilla-amber turns cloying in Georgia humidity. One spray on a warm evening, not three.
IFRA-compliant compound — composed to international fragrance safety standards.
10 ml means no regret — live with it on your own skin before it earns a place in the rotation.
Small-batch, made in Atlanta — blended and filled by hand, never a rebottled bulk oil.

Why We Made This
Everyone wants the sweet ambery night-out scent, and almost nobody wants to spend a hundred dollars finding out whether it suits them. That's the whole problem with fragrance: the thing you have to test costs more than most people will risk on a maybe. So we composed our own in the genre — the apple and cinnamon opening, the orange blossom in the middle, the vanilla-tonka-amber drydown that's the real reason anyone loves this style — built it at twenty percent so it actually performs, and put it in ten millilitres so trying it costs less than lunch.
— The Singhal Heritage House, Athens, Georgia
After Midnight Is Built To Fix:
The hundred-dollar blind buy — you can't know how a fragrance sits on your skin from a description. A 10 ml removes the risk.
Concentration nobody will print — "eau de parfum" covers a wide range. Ours is 20%, stated plainly.
Cheap sweets that vanish by nine — a sugary top note with no base collapses fast. The tonka-amber drydown is the point here.
Flat, one-note sugar — cinnamon and orange blossom keep the sweetness from reading as candy.
Bottles too big to travel — 10 ml fits a jacket pocket. Top up when the night runs long.
Vague performance promises — "lasts all day" is marketing. Six to eight hours on skin is a number you can hold us to.

Before You Buy · Honest Answers

Straight answers, no fluff
Is this a copy of a specific branded perfume?
No. After Midnight is our own composition in the sweet ambery evening genre — apple and cinnamon, orange blossom, vanilla, tonka and amber. It isn't a clone of any one house's bottle, and we don't name anyone else's product to sell ours. It's our take on a style a lot of people love.
What does 20% concentration actually mean?
It's the proportion of fragrance oil to alcohol. As a rough industry guide: eau de toilette runs about 5–15%, eau de parfum about 15–20%, and extrait de parfum 20% and above. At 20%, After Midnight sits right where eau de parfum ends and extrait begins — which is why two sprays is enough and why the drydown holds for hours rather than minutes.
Why is 10 ml so small — is this a sample?
It's a full product in a travel size, not a sample vial. At two sprays a wear, 10 ml gives you roughly 80–100 wears, which is a season of evenings. It's small on purpose: it fits a pocket, and it means nobody has to risk a large sum to find out whether a fragrance suits their skin.
Will it survive a Georgia summer?
Honestly — it's not what it's built for. Sweet vanilla-amber fragrances swell in heat and humidity and can turn heavy fast. Wear one spray on a warm evening rather than three, and save the full effect for October onward. Anyone telling you a heavy amber is a year-round scent is selling, not advising.

The smartest fragrance buy isn't the cheapest, and it isn't the one in the famous bottle. It's the one that smells like the night you were going for, tells you exactly what's in it, and doesn't cost a hundred dollars to find out.

Why Most Sweet Amber Dupes Disappoint

The 4 reasons cheap sweet-amber dupes let you down
i.
All top note, no drydown
The sweet opening is the cheap part to make. The vanilla-tonka-amber base is the expensive part — and it's the part everyone actually falls in love with. Skip it and the fragrance is over by nine o'clock.
ii.
Sugar with nothing cutting it
Sweetness on its own reads as candy within minutes. Cinnamon spice and an orange-blossom heart are what keep a sweet amber wearable by an adult in a room full of people.
iii.
Under-concentrated, and quiet about it
"Eau de parfum" spans a wide range, and the weak end of it is where most budget bottles sit. Nobody prints the number, which tells you something. Ours is 20%.
iv.
A harsh alcohol blast on the open
Low-grade bases hit sharp and solvent-y for the first minute. A properly macerated compound opens smooth, even when it opens loud.

Why After Midnight Works

20% Concentration
Extrait strength, printed plainly. Two sprays is enough.
A Real Drydown
Vanilla, tonka and amber — the part that keeps it alive for hours.
Sweet, Not Flat
Cinnamon and orange blossom stop it reading as candy.
No Blind-Buy Risk
$8.71 to find out, instead of a three-figure bottle.
Pocket-Sized
10 ml travels in a jacket, clutch or glovebox.
Small-Batch, Atlanta
Blended and filled by hand, never a rebottled bulk oil.

You've been burned by a blind buy and would rather risk $8.71 than $120.

You need an evening slot in your rotation without committing to 100 ml of anything.
You're gifting someone who likes warm, sweet, confident fragrance.

Size 10 ml · $8.71
Concentration 20% — extrait strength
Longevity 6–8 hours on skin, longer on fabric
Character Sweet, warm, ambery, unisex-leaning masculine
Best for Nights out, dates, parties, autumn and winter
Application Two sprays on pulse points — neck, wrists, behind the ears

How to Use

1. Two Sprays, Not Four
At 20%, two on pulse points is the right dose. This one projects.
2. Let It Settle
Judge it at the one-hour mark, not the first minute. The drydown is the point.
3. Spray, Don't Rub
Rubbing wrists together crushes the top notes. Let it dry on its own.

Affordable Sweet Amber Vanilla Perfume · 20% Concentration

Want the sweet ambery night-out scent without the three-figure bottle?

After Midnight gives you the genre's full arc — candied apple and cinnamon at the open, orange blossom softening the heart, and the vanilla, tonka and amber drydown that's the reason anyone loves this style — at 20% fragrance concentration and 6–8 hours on skin. A 10 ml is $8.71, against designer bottles in the same genre that routinely run past $100. It's our own composition, made in small batches in Athens, not a copy of any one brand's bottle.

EdT vs EdP vs Extrait · What Concentration Actually Means

The number almost nobody prints

Fragrance strength comes down to how much perfume oil is dissolved in the alcohol base, and the category names are looser than most people assume. As a rough industry guide, eau de toilette sits around 5–15%, eau de parfum around 15–20%, and extrait de parfum from 20% upward. That means two bottles both labelled "eau de parfum" can differ by a third in actual strength — and the weaker end is where a lot of budget fragrance quietly lives. After Midnight is 20%, which puts it at the boundary where eau de parfum ends and extrait begins. Practically, higher concentration means you spray less, the drydown lasts longer, and the base notes have enough material to be worth smelling.

Why the Drydown Matters More Than the Opening

You smell the first ten minutes. You wear the next six hours.

Every fragrance is loudest in its opening, and that is the part cheapest to make — bright, volatile molecules that grab attention and then evaporate. What you actually live with is the base: in a sweet amber, that means vanilla, tonka bean, amber and a grounding patchouli. Those are heavy, slow-releasing materials, they are the expensive part of the formula, and they are the reason this genre inspires the loyalty it does. It is also why so many budget versions disappoint — they nail a convincing ten minutes and have nothing underneath. When judging any fragrance on skin, ignore the first spray and come back at the one-hour mark.

Perfect for Gifting

A small gift that smells expensive and costs under nine dollars. For the person who wears warm, sweet fragrance, the friend building a rotation, or anyone you'd like to give something thoughtful without guessing at a full bottle. The 10 ml makes an easy stocking filler, add-on, or festive token — and because it's a travel size, it gets used rather than shelved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a copy of a specific branded perfume?
No - it's our own composition in the sweet ambery evening genre, not a clone of any one house's bottle, and we don't name anyone else's product to sell ours.
What does 20% concentration mean?
It's the proportion of fragrance oil to alcohol. Roughly: eau de toilette 5-15%, eau de parfum 15–20%, extrait 20% and above. At 20% this sits where eau de parfum ends and extrait begins - so two sprays is enough and the drydown holds for hours.
How long does it last?
Six to eight hours on skin, and longer on clothing - fabric holds fragrance far better than skin does. Warmer, more hydrated skin holds it longer than dry skin.
How many wears in a 10 ml bottle?
At two sprays a wear, roughly 80–100 wears - a full season of evenings. It's a travel-size product, not a sample vial.
Is it for men or women?
It leans masculine but wears unisex. Sweet ambers are one of the most genuinely shared genres in fragrance - anyone who likes warm, vanilla-forward scent can wear it.
Can I wear it in summer?
You can, carefully. Heavy vanilla-amber swells in heat and humidity, so use one spray on a warm evening rather than three. It's genuinely at its best from October onward.
Is it safe / phthalate-free?
The fragrance compound is IFRA-compliant and phthalate-free. Patch-test first and discontinue if irritation occurs.
What if it's damaged in transit?
No-questions-asked replacement. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo.
